The main theme of the webinar was “Food Safety and Food Pathogen Detection.” During the scientific sessions, I presented on strategic issues concerning national and global food safety.

I spoke alongside other distinguished experts, including representatives from BPOM RI, SEAFAST IPB, ISLAB, and Université de Bretagne Occidentale (France). Our panel discussions covered a wide range of critical topics, including food safety regulations in Indonesia, the utilization of lactic acid bacteria to reduce mycotoxins and pathogens, foodborne pathogen testing, and the latest rapid detection technologies based on next-generation sequencing (NGS).

Bimtek Pemeriksaan Bakteri Penyebab Keracunan Pangan

I presented a talk at the Bimbingan Teknis (Bimtek) on “Pemeriksaan Bakteri Penyebab Keracunan Pangan” organized by Balai Laboratorium Kesehatan Masyarakat (Labkesmas) Magelang.

The event was designed to enhance public knowledge and skills regarding food safety, specifically focusing on the identification, examination, and prevention of bacteria that cause food poisoning.

I delivered a presentation titled “Pencegahan Risiko Keracunan Pangan,” where I discussed practical and scientific approaches to mitigating the risks of bacterial contamination in food. I spoke alongside Prof. dr. Titik Nuryastuti from Universitas Gadjah Mada, who covered the detection methods for foodborne pathogens.

FGD Antibiofilm 2025: Outsmarting Biofilms

I presented a talk at the National Focus Group Discussion (FGD) organized by the Pusat Kolaborasi Riset (PKR) Biofilm. The event, titled “Outsmarting Biofilms: Novel Strategies for Antibiofilm Treatment and Foodborne Disease Control,” was held in a hybrid format, centered at BRIN Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta.

The forum aimed to strengthen collaborative research, share recent scientific discoveries, and develop innovative strategies for health and food safety. I spoke alongside international and national experts, including Prof. Mark Blaskovich from the University of Queensland and Dr. Theerthankar Das from Western Sydney University.

Our discussions focused on the potential of Indonesia’s biodiversity for sustainable antibiofilm solutions, the development of natural compound-based therapies, biofilm infection modeling, and the application of molecular and in-situ detection technologies in the food and healthcare sectors.
