I was invited to speak at the Pertemuan Ilmiah Tahunan (PIT) 2025, an annual scientific gathering organized by the Perhimpunan Mikrobiologi Indonesia (PERMI) Yogyakarta branch in collaboration with the International Union of Microbiological Societies (IUMS) and Pusat Kolaborasi Riset (PKR) Biofilm FKKMK UGM.

The main theme of the webinar was “Food Safety and Food Pathogen Detection.” During the scientific sessions, I presented on strategic issues concerning national and global food safety.

I spoke alongside other distinguished experts, including representatives from BPOM RI, SEAFAST IPB, ISLAB, and Universitรฉ de Bretagne Occidentale (France). Our panel discussions covered a wide range of critical topics, including food safety regulations in Indonesia, the utilization of lactic acid bacteria to reduce mycotoxins and pathogens, foodborne pathogen testing, and the latest rapid detection technologies based on next-generation sequencing (NGS).

Food Science Researcher
Welcome! I am a food safety researcher working at the intersection of wet-lab molecular microbiology and computational risk modeling. My work focuses on tracking and controlling foodborne pathogensโ€”from investigating biofilm resistance and fermentation ecology to developing rapid diagnostic assays and Quantitative Microbial Risk Assessment (QMRA) models. I am passionate about open science, reproducible data workflows in R, and advancing global food safety standards.
